Bissell Healthy Home 16N5 Vacuum Ratings

84.1  The Bissell Healthy Home (model 16N5) is an upright bagless vacuum cleaner.  This seems to be a vacuum that, for the most part, gets great ratings, but occasionally frustrates consumers.  It should be noted that it comes with a healthy 5-year warranty and typically costs under 200USD.

The Bissell healthy Home (16N5) has HEPA filtration via Bissell's " AireTight HEPA filtration" system.  A good feature for allergy sufferers.  Much like the Dyson vacuum cleaners, this Bissell uses cyclonic suction which provides for no loss of suction power over time.

The 16N5 has a brushbar that can be turned on and off (the ability to turn this off can be quite useful if you are vacuuming delicate flooring or rugs).  The power cord is 30 feet long (a good long length) and there are 7 different vacuum height adjustments - to accomodate different surfaces.

Like most uprights this unit comes with several attachments.  Included with the 16N5 are a crevice tool, upholstery/dusting brush, wand, and a turbo hand tool.  There is also a headlight.

Most consumers really like this vacuum for it's abilities, features and cost however some complain that the brushbar sometimes just stops working and that the vacuum is too heavy (it weighs about 22 lbs).

The following table shows consumer ratings for the Bissell Healthy Home 16N5 upright vacuum cleaner:

Amazon 42 4.5
Walmart 7 3.0
Epinions 2 5.0
