The Electrolux Ergorapido EL1022A is a cordless and bagless stick vacuum.  It is powered by a NiMH 12 volt battery and it uses cyclonic suction, a technology that spins air at high speed sending debris into the dust cup and helping keep filters clean.  The vacuum has 2-stage filtration.

The brushbar on the stick vacuum is motorized and the machine is marketed as working best on bare floors and area rugs.  Carpet vacuuming is not part of the marketing message and a number of owners have indeed indicated that the EL1022A is not too effective on carpet.   The dust cup is reportedly easy to empty and it has a capacity of 0.4 quarts.

A feature that almost all Electrolux Ergorapido owners like is the 2-in1 feature.  Buttons on the side of the main unit release a hand vacuum that can be used for small and easy cleanup jobs and when finished it simply snaps back into place. 

Like many battery operated vacuums, battery life with this stick vac is an area of contention.  A fully charged EL1022A battery is said to last 12 to 20 minutes which is about average for many battery operated stick vacuums today.  There are always folks who are disappointed with this kind of vacuuming time but battery operated machines simply don’t perform like corded units in this respect.

The Electrolux ErgoRapido EL1022A has two different power settings: Normal power and High power.  On normal power the stick vac is said to last about 20 minutes while on high power it lasts only 12 minutes.  Also, the time to fully recharge the battery is 15 to 20 hours – this too has some owners unhappy.
 
The Ergorapido EL1022A is good for quick pick-ups and light vacuuming.  For more heavy duty house cleaning a full size vacuum cleaner is best.  This is a lightweight vacuum at only 5.3 lbs and it also has an 8.3 inch wide cleaning path and a 180 degree swivel head.  A number of consumers like the light weight and maneuverability of the vacuum.

The EL1022A stick vacuum includes a charging station that also acts as a storage unit. A crevice tool and dusting brush can be stored on the charging station.  The vacuum has an LED headlight for viewing under furniture and into darker areas, and it carries a 2-year limited warranty.
