94.1 The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro has received a consumer ratings score of 94.1. This places it comfortably within the “excellent” range and also near the very top of our top-rated upright vacuums list. This bagless machine is lightweight, maneuverable, generates strong suction, and also not too expensive. It can often be found online for under $200. The following table shows consumer ratings for the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro vacuum cleaner:
This machine is similar in many ways to the Navigator Lift Away NV350 (another highly rated, popular upright by Euro-Pro) however there are also some significant differences. First, the vacuums are easily told apart by their color – the NV350 is lavender while the NV356 is white. Also the dirt canister on the NV350 has a 0.3 gallon capacity while that on the NV356 can hold 0.55 gallons. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro (NV356) is also a slightly heavier machine at 14 lbs compared to 12.8 lbs for the NV350. The Navigator Pro also includes a “Dust Away” hard floor attachment designed to work with the portable canister and capable of exceptional bare floor cleaning. Consumer comments provide the following vacuum likes and dislikes: PROS CONS Check out the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro Powered by a 10 amp motor, the Navigator Pro still gets good grades from consumers with respect to suction (a number of uprights use 12 amps). Suction is generated via cyclonic technology and it can also be adjusted via a suction adjustment collar on the handle of the machine. The brushbar can be turned on or off allowing the unit to work effectively on both carpet and bare floors, and the brushbar/power switch is located near the handle on top of the canister. The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Pro includes a portable canister vacuum. The canister and motor can be removed as a unit from the main machine and, along with the hose and attachments, carried in one’s hand to do cleaning of stairs, ceilings or other hard to reach areas. There are also a number of attachments provided such as a crevice tool, dusting brush, upholstery tool, pet hair turbine tool and extension wand but not all of these always come with the vacuum package. According to the Euro Pro manual on this vacuum there is a NV356E and an N356K. The “E” includes: The “K” includes NOTE: there is also an NV355 and an NV357. All the vacuums are all very much the same with some minor differences (like different pet hair turbine tools for example). An exhaustive list of differences between all these very similar models is not easy to come by. The vacuum package always includes the Dust-Away hard floor attachment however and this tool uses suction to pull up larger dirt and dust while the micro-fibre pad (washable micro-fibre pads are included with the vacuum) cleans away the fine dust particles. The NV356E has a 30 foot power cord, a 9.25 inch wide cleaning path and HEPA filtration. The vacuum casing is also sealed such that the dirty air that enters the vacuum does not escape and is forced through the filtration system before being exhausted. Consumers also report that the vacuum is easy to steer and maneuver due to its light weight and swivel head. There are two motors in this machine. One generates the vacuum suction while the other powers the brushbar. The brushbar motor has a special shutoff safety feature should the brushbar get jammed by an obstruction. This safety feature will shut off the motor thereby stopping it from potentially burning out. The Navigator Pro also carries a full 5 year warranty. POST YOUR COMMENTS
