73.0  The Hoover F7452900 Steam Vac does not get particularly good reviews from consumers.  There are a large number of comments indicating that it is not well constructed and that items break.  There are some that feel it does a good job but it ratings are dragged down by the significant number of consumers who are unhappy with the quality of the units construction.

A quick review of consumer comments provides the following common Hoover F7452900 pros and cons:

PROS
Strong suction & cleans well
Tanks are easy to fill and empty

CONS
Poorly constructed – many brittle plastic parts (many comments regarding this)
Large and heavy machine
Fairly loud

The F7452900 steam vacuum is designed to be used on both carpets and hard flooring.  It is powered by a 12 amp motor and comes with a lengthy 30 foot power cord.  An 8 foot hose is also included.

There are a number of tools provided with the F7452900 including a hard-floor squeegee and a spin scrub powered handtool.  The brushes stop spinning in “tool mode” to protect the flooring surface.  Also, detergent is mixed into the water automatically and carpets are rinsed thoroughly with the auto-rinse function.

Some consumers have indicated that carpet drying times are fairly short as the result of the heated cleaning and the strong suction (which pulls up much of the water in the carpet).  This steam vac has a 13-inch wide cleaning path and carries a 1-year warranty.

The following table shows consumer ratings for the Hoover F7452900 Steam Vac:
