Hoover S3670 Canister Vacuum Ratings

71.1  Customer ratings for the Hoover S3670 canister vacuum vary widely – from poor to excellent.  You either hate or love this machine.  The S3670 bagged canister uses Hoover’s WindTunnel Technology, comes with a number or attachments and is HEPA capable.

The Hoover WindTunnel S3670 has controls on the handle that allow one to vary the vacuum suction.  This is a useful feature when vacuuming different surfaces and especially for delicate items like certain rugs or curtains.  It is powered by a 12 amp motor and has a brushroll with on/off ability.  It is often useful to be able to turn the brushroll off when transitioning from carpet to other surfaces like bare floors. 

The S3670 comes with HEPA level filtration which removes 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns or larger from the airflow.  This is often a sought after feature for those with allergies or asthma as it can remove many allergens like pollen, pet dander, dust mites, etc.  The HEPA filter is also washable.

The power cord on the S3670 is 25 feet long and has auto-cord rewind (a popular feature on many vacuum cleaners).  The power cord length does not seem particularly long but consumers often mention the “long power cord” as something they very much like about the vacuum.    This unit also sports a headlight, full bag indictor (to let you know when to change the bag), edge cleaning, a 7-foot hose, and a 15-inch wide cleaning path. 

The S3670 has a telescopic wand and comes with a hard floor brush and powered hand tool.  A crevice tool and upholstery tool are also provided (these store on-board).  This vacuum weighs 24 lbs which is fairly heavy – a point noted by a number of consumers.  It carries a 3-year limited warranty.
