The Hoover UH30010COM is not a cheap vacuum, costing in the neighborhood of 300USD however many consumers like this machiine as the ratings figures below indicate.  It comes with a number of attachments: bare-floor brush, dusting brush, crevice tool, telescoping wand.  It has, like many other vacuums these days, a HEPA filter (good for allergy and asthma sufferers) and it uses the Hoover Windtunnel technology. 

Like other Hoovers in the Platinum series this unit comes with a 6 year warranty - fairly long in this industry.  A few other noteworthy features are the 35 foot power cord - long enough that you do not have to constantly plug and unplug the machine as you move from area to area, and its very light structure - it weighs about 12 lbs so moving this vacuum around or lugging it up the stairs is easier than many other uprights.
