LG Kompressor Canister PetCare Plus Vacuum

93.9 Ratings are excellent for the LG Kompressor PetCare Plus Canister Vacuum Cleaner (model LcV900B).  Owners really like the Kompressor technology, washable filters, strong suction and remote controls on the handle.  Some feel the cord is a little short and that the vacuum is heavier than most but even these consumers still comment favourably on most other aspects of the LcV900B.

The LG Kompressor Canister PetCare Plus includes most of the important vacuum features as well as a few “bells & whistles”.  It is a bagless vacuum powered by a 12 amp motor and it uses cyclonic suction.  Also, like a Dyson, it has washable filters.  In addition, it uses a HEPA filter.  HEPA stands for “High Efficiency Particulate Air” and it removes very small particles from the air such as dust mite feces, pollen and other allergens.  As a result HEPA filtration is popular with people who have allergies or asthma.

As the name states this canister vacuum uses Kompressor technology.  This technology uses a wiper blade to compress the dust and dirt in the dirt container.  LG states the technology allows the canister to hold up to 3 times more than an uncompressed canister.  Many owners like this feature and indicate that it works as described.

The vacuum cleaner provides suction across the width of the nozzle via a middle suction channel and right and left suction channels.  It also comes with a motorized brushbar that is controlled on the vacuum handle (on/off control).  This option makes the LcV900B more capable at carpet cleaning because a motorized brushbar is typically more effective than an air driven one. The suction can also be set on maximum or minimum from controls on the vacuum handle.

The power cord is short at 21 feet.  It is retractable however.  There are also comments that the crevice tools is short and doesn’t allow one to get into corners and hard to reach places as easily as it should. Tools that come with the LG vacuum include a combination crevice tool & dusting brush, an aluminum telescopic wand and a bare floor tool.

The PetCare Plus also includes a stretch hose, a headlight, an empty-canister indicator (light on the handle), motor overload protection and several nozzle height options.  The nozzle height can be set at High, Medium, Medium-low or Low.  The vacuum weighs 22 lbs which is rather heavy for a canister.  The vacuum weight is brought up by some folks, although for the most part it is not a big issue with most owners.  The LG Kompressor Canister PetCare Plus (model LcV900B) carries a 5-year warranty.
