82.1 The weighted average consumer ratings for this machine place it in the lower end of the “Good” range. It is quite popular with many consumers but not so much so with others. Owners find they like the Kompressor Technology, the unit’s strong suction and the long power cord, but a number find the LuV200R a little heavy. LG presently make 4 different KOMPRESSOR upright vacuum cleaner models. In order of rising cost these are the LuV250C, the LuV200R, the LuV300B, and the LuV400T. The LuV250C and the LuV200R are almost the same machine however the LuV200R has a retractable power cord while the LuV250C does not. Also the LuV250C weighs 16.5 lbs while the LuV200R weighs a more hefty 22 lbs. The weight of the LuV200R is one of the most commented upon negative characteristics of this vacuum. A review of consumer comments found on several site provides the following pros and cons: PROS CONS Check out the LG LuV200R on Amazon The LuV200R is powered by a 12 amp motor and it uses cyclonic suction. It also comes with HEPA filtration like all the other KOMPRESSOR uprights. This feature is popular for those with allergies or asthma. The power cord on this machine is of a decent length at 30 feet and the cord is retractable. There are some consumer comments however that the cord has a mind of its own and a slight pull can cause it to retract. Tools provided with the LuV200R Kompressor include a pet hair turbine tool and a 2-in-1 crevice tool and dusting brush. It also comes with a telescopic aluminum wand. The brushbar can be turned on and off which is a very practical feature if you vacuum both carpet and bare floors. The brushbar control is on the vacuum handle. Also, when transitioning from one flooring type to another (or different carpet pile) the ability to adjust the vacuum nozzle height is helpful. The LuV200R has 4 different height settings to allow one to set the nozzle to an optimal cleaning height above the floor surface. The Kompressor Technology uses a motorized blade in the dirt canister to compact the dust and debris into a cake. This “compacting” allows the vacuum to store up to 3 times more dirt than a vacuum without this technology and it also helps to reduce dust when the canister is emptied. Owners agree that emptying the canister on the LuV200R is quite easy and straightforward. The vacuum is marketed as having DualForce suction which simply means there are three pathways in the nozzle to help pull up dirt. There is a left pathway, a right pathway and a center pathway, the idea being to ensure suction at the nozzle edges does not diminish. The nozzle is quite wide at 14.5 inches so this machine covers a wide swath with each pass. The LG LuV200R has motor overload protection and will shut off if it encounters and obstruction. It also has a 14 foot stretch hose and carries a 5 year parts and labor warranty. The following table shows consumer ratings for the LG LuV200R vacuum cleaner:
