Stick Vacuum Ratings

83.1  The Electrolux ErgoRapido EL1022A gets good ratings from consumers.  It is liked for its light weight, quiet operation and 2-in-1 stick-vac to hand-vac feature, but some owners are less happy with the long battery recharge time and the fact that the unit is only average on carpet.

67.1  The Shark 2-in-1 Cordless stick vac is both a stick vacuum and a handheld.  It is lightweight and also maneuvers well.  However it does not please consumers like its bigger brother the Shark Navigator.  On average the Shark stick vac gets poor consumer ratings and many feel that the battery life is too short and that it is not a durable machine.

77.9 The Dyson DC35 is both a handheld and a stick vacuum.  It is also cordless and weighs under 5 lbs.  Consumer ratings range from spectacular to less-than-stellar.  It appears to depend on consumer expectations – if you are looking for a vacuum suited for large household cleaning then this will disappoint.  But as a cordless stick vac for small cleanups it performs quite well.

86.5  This vacuum has a bit of a following.  Some people have had one for 10+ years and others have purchased many – several for themselves and others as gifts.   The Eureka 96 is inexpensive, great for small cleanups and gets very good consumer ratings.  It seems that as long as you understand that you are buying a cordless stick vacuum (and not a powerful full-size upright) you will likely not be disappointed.

84.7  The Black & Decker PSV1800 cordless stick vacuum cleaner gets good ratings from consumers.  This stick vac is also Energy Star rated.

90.3  The Miele S163 stick vacuum gets very good consumer ratings and, like most Miele vacuums, is fairly expensive.  It also comes with HEPA filtration - a feature not too common amongst stick vacs.

96.2 The Hoover SH20030 corded stick vacuum is getting very good reviews – at least on Amazon.  It doesn’t seem to appear much on other retail sites.  The Hoover SH20030 is corded so this removes one of the biggest complaints with many stick vacuums, namely the short battery life.  Consumers like the fact that it has strong suction, is lightweight, and is not too loud.  It is also not overly expensive.

90.0  The Electrolux Ergorapido is a cordless stick vacuum.  It is sometimes called a 2-in-1 vacuum as it is a stick vac but also comes with a built in handheld vacuum.

55.9  The Dirt Devil M084100 is a stick vacuum cleaner that is made for light cleanup work.  Consumer ratings for this machine are not particularly high.

88.4  The Dirt Devil M083424 Accucharge Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner is very light and it gets good consumer ratings.

71.6  The Hoover S2200 Flair is a stick vacuum.  It is relatively inexpensive and designed for small vacuuming jobs.

90.0  The Hoover Linx stick vacuum is sometimes referred to as the BH50010 (It's model number).  It is cordless and gets very good consumer ratings.
